Session 2: Consequences for Opportunists

Session Opening Description

After spending 3 days in the custody of Thalvorr and the Sharn Watch, the adventurers awoke from nearly being killed by shadow mystical assassins. Dalen is dead, struck down by the same assassins, and with it any chance at getting the fortunes they were all promised. What was before them, instead, was possible jail time or helping Thalvorr with what must be a dillusional pipe dream.

Thalvorr provided the party with great care while they were out and when they awoke he gave the party a choice: work for him on his crazy theory; be left in jail for the robbery they had committed. The party chose the former option, opting to take a little freedom over none at all. Thalvorr then supplied the party members with equpment and a little gold to start on their journey to find something that must be impossible: Eberron's Astrolabe.

Campaign Events

  • The party retreated to Borden's house boat for a bit.
  • Party started looking for more information on The Sight-Giver.
  • Caskar Halavik, City Counselor of Sharn, was the one who took out the box in the Dragon's Ledger.
    • Attempted to speak with him.
    • Intursions into his thoughts cause him to let his guard attack the party.
  • The battle with the guards was a bit one-sided for the group and finished quickly.
  • Later, Maude was able to get a meeting with Caskar arranged.
    • Caskar was not able to give much information.
    • He was able to confirm that Veshira had given it to him to hold on to.
  • Group was able to find various pieces of information leading them to Veshira operating out of Fairhaven.
    • Various pieces of evidence in Dalen's office in The Veiled Balcony.
    • Caskar was able to help with information leading the party to determine that Fairhaven is the next best place to go.
    • Information from Jorlan Veylan of the Sharn Watch.
  • The Veiled Balcony was purchased by the party for them to earn some income.
    • They earn money from the inn both from the rooms being rented and from food and beverage.
    • The party can also receive information points from the information network through purchase when they need it.
