Description

A small piece of metal that that has multiple jewels afixed that have been polished as clear as lenses. The metal is worn as it has seen millenia and has some form of old writing on it.

Properties

When attnuned by the holder of the alidade, there are several benefits and deficits. - Provides the holder with various spells that use charges. - Arcane Eye - Divination - Legend Lore - Augury - Eberron's True Sight - When charges run out, they are just out. The alidade will regain 1d6+1 charges a day. - Provides buffs to various skills and passive skills. - Insight +3 - Investigation +3 - Perception +3 - Passive Investigation +3 - Passive Preception +3 - Has some disadvantages to the attunement of the item as well. - Disadvantage on Insight checks. - Disadvantage on Perception checks. - Disadvantage on Investigation checks. - Various other side effects may manifest themselves at the DM's discretion.

History

The history thus far is myth and legend and nothing of concrete knowledge as the parts have been little more than rumors for millenia. Thalvorr believes that it could be part of something greater, but specifically what is not yet known.

How It Was Acquired

During the heist in The Dragon's Ledger in Session 1, the party collected the item to give to Dalen. When he died, Borden Daskel wound up with the box it was contained within.
